  Dear Hope Church Family,

Throughout history, God has given His people a vision. He has given Hope Church a vision of being a people who do not “play church,” and do not treat church as a place for hiding from the world, but instead act as a people called to make a difference for good in the world.

A clear vision reveals opportunity. I believe we have the opportunity through the “Least of These” journey to make such a difference. Through this journey, we have an opportunity to transform the lives of children and youth in and around Springfield; to extend the hand of grace across a racial and cultural divide dating back nearly 100 years; and to fight poverty and AIDS globally. This brochure introduces you to a vision of our church, and invites you to walk through a door into the journey of opportunity that God wants you to enter.

Please take some time to study this brochure. As you do, pray for God to give you clarity about His will for you and your family, and about how you can take advantage of opportunities here at Hope to invest yourself in something eternal. I invite you to pray this simple but courageous prayer: “God, everything I have is Yours. I am willing to make sacrifices for Your Kingdom. What would You have me give beyond my regular giving, for three years, to honor You by helping the least of these Your children? And what is Your will for my own service to others through this church?” If you pray that prayer sincerely, I urge you to follow His leadership, by faith, wherever He takes you.

This brochure will help in your spiritual journey. We believe that this season of ministry will be one of the most exciting we have ever known. May God continue to lead us as we begin this journey.

In His Love,

Blake Carter
Senior Pastor

  Weekend Services

Weekend services at HOPE are designed to help you understand how to have an exciting and transformational relationship with Jesus Christ. We hope you'll join us for a weekend service to see for yourself what we're about. Through drama, multi-media presentations, contemporary music and practical messages, we present the ageless truths of the Bible in a format that's easy to understand, even if you've never been to church.

Don't worry if you can't find the hymnals, choir or organ there aren't any. Instead we have a band, upbeat music and often use video and computer graphics as part of the service. And if you don't want to sing, it's OK. Feel free to just listen and hope that the person next to you is on key.

    Food for the Journey

Hope is a place for people willing to embark on a spiritual journey, from those just investigating whether there is a God, to those who have made following Christ the priority of their life.  This is a safe place for everyone.  But safe doesn’t mean serenity.  The Bible presents a dangerous message of life change.  We don’t assume everyone believes, or even knows the Bible, but we do assume everyone who comes through our doors is open to exploring it. We believe the Bible is God’s inerrant truth and it is foundational to everything we do.

The Daily Devotional -- Food for the Journey.

Our gift to you.

    Tell us your story

Hope's vision is exemplified through the stories of the people who call Hope their home.  Just like the stories told in our weekend services, your story may be the  starting point for God to change another person's life.  We'd love to hear the story of when you first experienced the community of Hope or when you first met Jesus, or how God has changed you in some way.  Sometimes that perfect moment occurs when God touches you through song or an encounter with a special person, or a prayer that brings about transforming change.
What's your story?
